3. ABOUT ARIDO
What is it?
First established in 1934, ARIDO is the only professional association for Interior Designers in Ontario.
Why does it exist?
To regulate the interior design profession in Ontario for the betterment of the profession and best interested of the public.
Who does it serve?
With 4 main membership categories, ARIDO serves over 2,300 professionals representing all speciality areas of the interior design industry.

6. STUDENT CAREER XPRESS COMMITTEE!!
JULIA: Every year ARIDO awards two scholarships to Student members. The first is the Norma Ruth Ridley Scholarship which honours interior design students who display impeccable professionalism and ethics and understand the importance of business practises and professional standards. Applicants are judged on five areas, academic achievement, professionalism, community involvement, character and communication. Program Chairs from each ARIDO recognized school, of which (school name) is one, will submit the name of a final year student for consideration. The CTI Working Environments scholarship awards three students each year with $500 each based on their community involvement and volunteering with ARIDO….something for consideration. Not only is volunteering good for building your network and your resume, but you can also be considered for scholarship. Both scholarships are presented at ARIDO’s Annual General Meeting in March 2018.
