7 Sabercat Theatre Theatre 1 Drama Club Productions Stagecraft Theatre 2
Drama club will meet to discuss upcoming dates, auditions, field trips, and play improv games! It is a great club to join for any student interested in theatre at Summit Trail! Productions Summit Trail puts on three productions each year: a play, a musical, and Readers Theatre. Auditions and backstage crew applications are open to all grade levels! Show off your talents and skills while making friends! Stagecraft It’s not just about the spotlight! In this semester-long class, students will take a look behind the scenes into the world of technical theatre. Students get hands-on experience with design, scenic painting, costumes, makeup, props, set building, and other aspects of production work. This course is perfect for those who love being a part of theatre, but may not always want to be on stage. Theatre 1 Explore the multi-faceted world of theatre in this introductory class. In this semester-long class, students will cultivate self-expression and confidence through a collaborative look at movement, voice, acting techniques, and performance. Theatre 2 This semester-long class is an in-depth course that builds upon the skills and techniques learned in Theatre I. It will challenge students’ leadership and creativity as they collaborate in theatre projects such as scene work, playwriting, play production, script analysis, and character development.
