4 Learning Architecture and Evolving Ecosystem
John: We considered the Enterprise Learning Architecture when developing the Learning Technology Ecosystem. While the Technology Ecosystem has been specifically called out as a branch of Enterprise Learning, it does in fact support and fuel all of the other branches. In broad terms the ecosystem may be viewed as an intricately weaved collection of portals, platforms, and systems. In practical terms it the underlying structure that captures the necessary data for business decisions (see Reporting & Analytics) acts as a conduit to facilitate formal and informal learning (see Learning Approaches) meets the needs of the learner at every stage along their journey to peak performance (see Continuous Learning)

5 Creating an Effortless Learning Experience
Research backing… Creating an Effortless Learning Experience Personalize a Simple “Front Door” Guide learners to the right learning Track the experience gaps Ron: So, how do we make our learning effortless? To form our thoughts, we started with the same CEB study on The Digital Learner that I mentioned on a previous slide. According to the case study, Target, a large retailer, took the following steps to create an effortless learning experience for their employees. Personalize a simple “Front Door” or learning portal by: Tailoring the Learner view by identifying the filters/attributes that matter to their perception of personalization Frame the interface around the learner voice and use the language that employees use so it is an extension of their work Simplify the Learner visuals and make the interface engaging and easy to use Guide learners to the right learning – highlight their progress against the end goal to ensure they see progress and learn effectively Track experience gaps – monitor gaps in the learning experience so that you ensure the experience is novel and always improving. One idea that Target used that we could leverage is using ADP Search to provide the most common search terms that return zero to a few results. These search term could inform future additions to the experience These concepts of a learner-centric experience align nicely with the principles espoused by the user experience (UX) movement in ADP Source: Target Corporation, CEB Analysis

6 Technology as an Experience
Key Shifts LMS as enabler Facilitate  curation Effortless experience Adaptive, personalized learning Tracking of formal & informal learning Richer insights Fewer content locations Simplified integrations Data warehouse with ADP BI/Cx/HR/Sales data Today we have many components of an ecosystem, but they tend to be isolated from each other or in some cases redundant across business units. This slide illustrates the client experience on the left where a client with a cross-BU product set may access a Saba LMS for some training, a Cornerstone LMS (iLearn) for other training, and a third LMS (TS) for their remaining training. This results in s from multiple systems and different support phone numbers from multiple business units. Meanwhile they may encounter several different systems for surveys and assessments (getFeedback, SurveyMonkey, QuestionMark, MetricsThatMatter) and assorted other systems for content (YouTube, Support Center, Product Help, InProduct Training, The Bridge). The associate on the right side of the slide, experiences a similar array of disparate systems. There is nothing that ties the entire experience together
