2 Announcements Feb. 1st at 3pm- CR/NC forms and level change forms due
Feb 4th-Feb. 10th- Online summer school registration at March 15th - end of 3rd quarter April 9th –PSAT 10; practice test ( auto registration ) April 10th – College Fair, North Campus Field 6:00PM-8:00PM Private Driver’s Ed - certificate of successful completion to counselor ASAP

9 Course Selection Codes- IMPORTANT!
Course selections should be entered into IC using the COURSE CODE number 1st semester courses at North Campus end in a “1” and 2nd semester courses end in a “2”- Please enter your preferred semester, but SEMESTER CANNOT BE GUARANTEED Prep and accel level English courses will end in a “3” since LTHS will assign the semester for you. Be sure to enter a code for each semester for annual courses

10 Timeline Today (Jan 17/18th) - Large group presentation - registration process via Infinite Campus (IC) Fri Jan 18th 3pm – Fri Jan 25th 3pm – Portal opens. Course selection discussions with parents/teachers and enter selections into IC through the portal at Jan 28th – Feb 15th - Individual meeting with counselor to review course selections (bring copy SIGNED BY PARENT) Feb 22nd - Final Day of Registration - NO CHANGES AFTER THIS DATE!

(example-HISTORY & PE) You CANNOT change courses entered by LT, your counselor will do that when you meet English & Math will by entered by you Students will enter codes for requested and alternate courses Codes for all courses are listed on BLUE course sheet Check prerequisites for courses (check APG online) Students will bring completed course selection worksheet and/or IC print out, with a PARENT SIGNATURE, to Group Guidance (Jan 28th – Feb 15th)

20 ATHLETIC STUDY HALL Students are eligible for Athletic Study Hall during their ISBE interscholastic competition. Students go back to PE when their season is over. In order to be eligible for Athletic Study Hall you must sign up for: PE III/IV or Sports Officiating or Dance Fitness

21 There are many science options listed in the APG
LTHS has a 2 year science requirement. However most colleges require 3+ science credits. It is important that you begin to look at college requirements to the colleges you are considering. There are many science options listed in the APG Your science teacher will provide you with a recommendation sheet. Please bring this sheet with you to group guidance! Make sure you are looking at the prerequisites and course details. There are not as many sections of these courses at NC since we offer so many more science electives.

26 BALANCE Plan ahead for your senior year schedule and balance the rigor between junior and senior year. Rigor is important, however, it is imperative not to overload yourself. Keep in mind your after school activities when choosing your classes. Consider a study hall. Use the following time management tool (located on LT website, select “Time Management”) to help you plan your schedule:

See your counselor as soon as possible A separate application is required and careful 2 year planning with your counselor is required. Parent signatures will be required for these programs and registration. If you sign up for a program, you cannot change your mind. All programs fill up.

28 Summer School In district registration begins February 4th – 10th.
Registration is ONLINE only, at – Summer School Registration becomes a lottery with seniors. Don’t be afraid of waitlists, some students sign up in February but conflicts arise with vacations, athletics, and other events. After February 10th, registration is based on a first come first serve basis and as long as classes are still available. As classes fill up, they are removed from the website and you must call the summer school office to get your name put on the waitlist.

NEXT STEPS of Registration Process: 1/18-1/25 until 3pm Discuss class decisions with parents/ guardians/teachers, read course descriptions and requirements in the Academic Program Guide, and enter choices into Infinite Campus portal 1/28- 2/15- Course selection review with counselor (bring paper copy of course selection SIGNED BY PARENT). Every student has an assigned meeting with their counselor through their English class. 2/22- NO CHANGES AFTER 3pm!
