3. GRADUATION EXAM (Option 1)
The graduation assessment requirements for the class of 2022 and beyond are as follows:
English (10th grade) - ISTEP
Math (10th grade) – ISTEP
Science – ILEARN (taken the year you are enrolled in biology)

Using your Diploma Requirement Checklist, review graduation requirements for your diploma type and select classes accordingly. 
Remember to select any required classes in which you need to raise a grade.

8. PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT is a test that can qualify you for scholarships and other honors. It can also help you plan for college, see academic skills needing more work, and get ready for college entrance exams, such as SAT.
FACTS:
Title: Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test
A test that measures the skills you’ve developed in reading, math, and writing.
The test is co-sponsored by the College Board and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
* Required for sophomores.

Math sequence:
Core 40/ THD: Algebra I, Algebra 2, Geometry
AHD: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2(H), Pre-Calculus
AHD: Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra 2, Probability/Statistics + Trigonometry
General Diploma- Earn two credits in Math or Quantitative Reasoning (Applied Math) Jr or Sr Year
Math or Quantitative Reasoning(applied math) must be taken each year in high school for Core 40, AHD, and THD
Foreign Language
Recommend 2 years if college bound
Spanish/German I --> II --> III: “C” Recommended

Steps to register for courses
Check credits needed (use your Indiana diploma requirements checklist)
Check grade level course selection sheet 
Access PowerSchool through the NHS Website 
 If you do not know your login, please see Mrs. Grzych
Enter courses under class registration

11. Click on registration tab

12. Click on pencil icon to view course options for each subject

13. Select the course(s) that meets your graduation requirement for each subject. You must press okay after each subject screen. If you are enrolling in an all year course, you must select both semesters. Once you have all required classes selected, choose electives. Your total should equal 14.  

14. You are finished when the requesting credit hour number is 14

15. Due Dates
Counselors will be meeting with all Freshman starting March 11th  – March April 5th.
Counselor will schedule your meeting unless you submit a request with a specific date and time.
