3. Get Access Navigate to the SAM login page at sam.cengage.com.

3a. New SAM users: Click the New User button and follow the on-screen prompts to create your SAM account. OR
3b. Existing SAM users: Enter your username and password. Click the Login button. 3b 3a

4. Enter Your iKey
Enter the 8-digit Institution Key provided by your instructor and click “Submit”. (North ECC Institution Key = T )
On the next screen, verify that the information is correct and click ‘Ok.’

5. Set Up Your Profile
When you are ready to set up your SAM User Account, complete the following:
Any required fields (marked with a red asterisk)
Enter a valid address in the ‘Username’ field. NOTE: You cannot change your username once you create it.
Click ‘Save’.

6. Enter Your Key Code
Enter the 18-digit key code you purchased and click ‘Save.’ (Otherwise, click the “Enter Later” button and enter your key code later, once you purchased one. You have a 14 day trial period in the course, before you purchase access. You can purchase access at or )

7. Join a Section
Click ‘Sections’ at the top of the page. Then click ‘Join a Section’.
Find your section and click the ‘Join a Section’ icon. Once you join the correct section, you can view your assignments. 9 10
