Similar to how we can know other people, and know facts about how they tend to think, and what they enjoy doing, and what their temperament is like, but we apply this to ourselves A collection of beliefs about yourself Embodies the answer to "Who am I?"

3 Self-Esteem general attitude toward yourself.
It is mostly measured on a scale from positive to negative It is a judgment of oneself as well as an attitude toward the self. It can vary depending on the situation and what has been going on lately, and any feedback you have gotten recently from your environment and people around you

4 Self-Concept vs. Self Esteem
Smith and Mackie define it by saying self-concept is what we think about the self; self-esteem, is the positive or negative evaluations of the self, as in how we feel about it.” Self-concept is the informational side of things, how you see yourself Self-esteem is how you feel about those things you know about yourself Example: Self-concept: you know you are talkative High self-esteem = you enjoy the fact you can talk to almost anyone at anytime Low self-esteem = your talkative nature annoys people and you should learn to control it
