Objectives Finish scene one and two. Answer questions for the purpose of a closer reading for the Junior Cert. Warm –up – A4 pad – write the quote, answer the question “A madness most discreet,/A choking gall and a preserving sweet”. (Romeo, c 185) (gall: something bitter) Romeo believes love consists of opposites. Do you think opposite personalities attract each other? Why /why not?

2 Notes – write this down A character’s opening moments are the most important ones. What is said about them and what they do reveal their character. Take this note time to get volunteers for readings.
