Xceedance Leadership Team
Arun Balakrishnan, Chief Executive Officer Arun Balakrishnan has built his career around promoting innovation and transformation in the insurance business. He has more than 10 years of experience launching startups in the industry. Arun’s insurance industry experience is rooted by a desire to revitalize processes, streamline operations and provide opportunities for growth. Prior to founding Xceedance, he was the chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway Insurance in India. Manish Khetan, Executive Vice President, Head of Process Engineering Manish Khetan leads a team which manages and oversees resource planning and execution of service level agreements (SLAs) with Xceedance clients. His core focus area is visualizing and initiating new processes and optimizing existing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors in the insurance operations of clients. The process engineering team at Xceedance supports the entire client base and has the largest diversity of assignments, executing most of the company’s policy servicing, F&A, regulatory reporting, MIS, collections and claims projects. Manish has 10 years of operational experience. Prior to joining Xceedance, he worked for Berkshire Hathaway India as vice president and head of operations, and previously as an operations consultant for two additional companies. Amit Tiwari, Executive Vice President, Head of Technology Amit Tiwari leads a 170+ person technology services team serving diverse clients completing upgrades, implementations, analytical projects and business process improvements. Amit’s responsibilities include managing the Xceedance consulting practice and delivery of technical applications ranging from rating modules, workflow management systems, and internal applications, to corporate websites and MIS. Prior to helping launch Xceedance, Amit led the technology team for Berkshire Hathaway India, responsible for architecting the IT infrastructure for online sales, customer support, payment processing, digital marketing and MIS. He also has several years of technology and insurance experience at IBM and RBS.

Amit Ranjan, Senior Vice President, Head of Analytics Services Amit Ranjan is in charge of analytical services at Xceedance. He has extensive experience managing knowledge-based, service-oriented operations for global insurance and reinsurance companies. Amit has more than 15 years of experience in catastrophe (CAT) management, insurance analytics, and he has cross-functional expertise spanning business development, strategy, client relationships, building teams, managing talent, and operations. In previous roles, Amit worked with organization such as RMS, GE Insurance, Flagstone Re, and Torus, where he supported the Americas as well as international regions. Rajesh Iyer, Senior Vice President, Head of Data Sciences Rajesh Iyer manages the Xceedance data sciences practice. He leads a dedicated team to support data sciences initiatives for clients, and collaborates with the company’s service delivery teams to create strategic data products and analytic tools. Rajesh has more than 20 years of insurance experience with leading U.S. insurers and service providers, including Nationwide, Mu Sigma, USAA and EXL. Most recently, he served as vice president of decision analytics at EXL, where he led data initiatives for top 10 P&C and L&A carriers. Rajesh also directed multiple analytics projects to improve and optimize operational outcomes. Narendra Marwah, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer Narendra Marwah is responsible for the finance and administration functions at Xceedance. He has more than 27 years of experience managing Indian and international accounting, taxation and finance operations. Narendra has worked on strategic business planning, process streamlining, fund and budget management — to improve operations, impact business growth and maximize profitability. He has in-depth experience in implementing U.S. GAAP, Indian GAAP, M&A, Transfer Pricing policy, Transfer Pricing Assessments at TPO, CIT, DRP, ITAT and High Court, levels. Narendra has worked on SEC and SOX compliances, SEZ and STPI related regulations. Previously, Narendra worked at Host Analytics Software as Head of India Finance. He has also worked at Price Waterhouse, HCL Limited, Interra IT, ADP Pvt. Ltd., Mentor Graphics and Avantha Business Solutions.
