1 Data protection laws are changing
The supplier of the IT system used by Ealing GP practices, has made system changes in response to new data privacy laws. These laws, called ‘General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)’, aim to protect people’s private information. The laws change the way that patient records can be shared between different GP practices.                                                                                                                               Ealing has three extended access hubs (Florence Road Surgery , Elmbank Surgery and Sunrise Medical Centre) where patients can be seen by GPs and Nurses in the evening (6.30-8pm) or weekend (8am-8pm) via a referral by their registered GP Practice. If you have not permitted the sharing of your patient record with other GP practices, this will prevent you from accessing week day evening and weekend appointments that are held at our Weekend Plus Hubs.  We have contacted you if your consent is required. If you'd like to check your details please speak to reception for more information.
