Biblionasium Expectations Review the options and requirements for writing a Biblionasium book review. Which option will you be completing for our upcoming review date on December 1, 2017? Then, be prepared to answer the following questions: What can I do to ensure I answer all parts of my chosen option? How can I avoid misspelled words and incorrect grammar in my review? If you finish early, you may read independently. If you need to submit your I.A.N., since it is late, you need to bring it DIRECTLY TO ME. We will visit the Media Center on Friday.

3 Language Arts – Warm Up 11/14/17
Unit 2 Student/Parent Letter First, read the letter individually. Then, without talking, answer all of the following questions with your group: What are essential questions? What do you think each one means? Why do we have them? Explain the assessments: What will students do? How will they do it? What do they need to know to complete the task(s)? What skills will be developed for Unit 2? If you need to submit your I.A.N., since it is late, you need to bring it DIRECTLY TO ME. We will visit the Media Center on Friday.

4 Language Arts – Work Session 11/14/17
Essential Questions: How can talking and working with others help one analyze a novel? How do internal and external forces help people grow? Standard: ELASE6RL3 – Describe how a particular story’s or drama’s plot unfolds in a series of episodes as well as how the characters respond or change as the plot moves toward a resolution. 5 Language Arts – Work Session 11/14/17
Unit 2 Grammar Pre-test First, answer your pre-test with a partner. Once your group (of 2 people) has finished, your group will receive an answer key to score yourselves. Record your own grade in your agenda for today. Title it “Unit 2 Grammar Pre-Test”.

6 Language Arts – Work Session 11/14/17
Unit 2 Q-H-T First, look at the green “Academic Terms to Know” sheet. With your partner, determine words you: Q = Have questions about H = Have heard of T = Can teach Then, using a marker, write those words on the appropriate posters on the wall. You need to write all of the words on the list, so you may divide the work between yourself and your partner.

7 Language Arts – Closing Session 11/14/17
