6 Next Generation Science Standards
Life Science in 6th grade looks at the system of cells and its organelles, and at the body as a system of interacting sub-systems built of cells and specialized for a particular function. Earth Science, the major systems studied are the atmosphere and oceans. Modeling oceans and atmosphere as sub systems. Temperature, density, humidity, flow pattern, explain and describe their patterns of changeover time. Physical Science: Energy, Kinetic Energy, Thermal Energy, Wind Energy, Renewable- Nonrenewable energy. etc.

Math homework will be assigned for every section.   Homework is due the day after it has been assigned. Students should write their homework in their agenda. I  will also post it on my website and send home a text  reminder.  Homework can be submitted on line    Students need to submit when completed.  All answers and any work  done to solve the problem should be written in their math notebook. Late Work:  Late work will be allowed occasionally for partial credit.   Retakes: There will be a test at the end of each Chapter.  I will allow retakes if a students earns below 70%.  However, the highest grade that can be earned on a retake is 70%.  The ultimate goal is that the material is learned.
