3 Definition Involuntary Separation pay is intended to assist members who are involuntarily separated and were not accepted for an additional tour of active duty for which they volunteered for.

4 Who can receive ISP Benefits?
Advancement eligible separated for HYT Separation under a force reduction program Officers separated because of failure of selection for promotion Not yet eligible for retirement Not separating under adverse conditions

5 Eligibility Recommended for retention Passed last advancement exam
Honorable discharge Must affiliate with SELRES or IRR for minimum of 3 years

6 Your Role As CCC once a member has been notified of involuntary separation you verify their last 2 evals for retention recommendation, profile of last advancement exam and see whether or they receive full or half benefits. Create the PG13 stating that they meet the requirements for ISP and will affiliate with the reserves. Send the member to PSD or your ADMIN Officer for complete separation package and to start DD-214 via NSIPS

7 Separation Pay Full Pay Half Pay To qualify you must be honorable discharged and recommended for retention Usually for members of fall under Reduction in Forces Action or HYT To qualify you must be honorable or general discharge. Usually for members Having issues with a security clearance or inability to obtain a Family Care Plan.

8 Review Must be retention eligible Honorable discharge
Affiliate with SELRES or IRR Be the man with the plan!
