2 Sometimes, things don’t go the way
you think they should.

3 You might feel confused, angry or sad.

4 You may feel like having a tantrum.

5 A tantrum is when you yell, stamp your feet, throw things or cry.

6 THAT IS NOT A GOOD CHOICE.

7 ~Tantrums can hurt other people.
~Tantrums make other people feel frightened. ~You could get hurt when you have a tantrum. ~Other people can get hurt when you have a tantrum.

8 AND NOTHING WILL CHANGE.

9 A BETTER CHOICE IS TO STOP…

10 Go to a ‘COOL DOWN SPOT’ and BREATHE DEEPLY.

11 You can squeeze something soft or count to 10. You can ask for a hug.

12 When you feel calm you can use your words to talk.

13 ~A tantrum is sometimes called a meltdown, or acting out

14 Teachers, friends and family feel very, very sad when you have a tantrum.

15 Friends think tantrums are for babies.

16 Remember…IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO USE YOUR WORDS.
Words can change bad feelings into good feelings.

17 WORDS CAN MAKE EVERYTHING OKAY.
