2. What is a rain forest?
A Rainforest is a place where some animals live. There are also trees, plants, and people.The rainforest gets at least six feet of rain each year.It is about eighty Fahrenheit all year.

3. Location of Rain Forests
Rainforests are located in South America, North America, Africa, Asia and Australia. They are located around the equator of tropic of Cancer and Capricorn.

4. Emergent Layer
The emergent layer has hummingbirds, butterflies, harpy eagles, monkeys, sloth, parrots, and kinkajous. It is the highest layer in the rainforest.

5. Canopy Layer
In the canopy layer there are boa constrictors, sloth, butterflies, hummingbirds, iguanas, ferns, toucans, parrots, tree porcupines, insects, monkeys, ocelots, lianas, orchids, and plants.

6. Understory Layer
The under story is above the forest floor and under the canopy.There are butterflies, jaguars, ocelots, tree porcupine, snakes, macaws, monkeys, insects, spiders, lemur,and red eyed tree frogs.

7. Forest Floor
The forest floor has dragonflies, beetles, tapirs, tarantulas, capybaras, armadillos, spiders, jaguars, and giant earth worms.
Also it is the lowest layer in the rainforest .

8. Deforestation
People set fires to the rainforest to make more space to build more houses, they also cut down trees to make businesses, highways,and new roads.
The rainforest is also cut down to make products like paper,furniture,and flooring.

9. People of the Rain Forest
People of the rainforest sell fruit to make money to buy material to make clothing. Some people of the rainforest are very short. The tallest they can be is four feet eight inches.
Many rainforest people paint their bodies with colorful dyes and use feathers, flowers, and other natural materials to make pieces of jewelry.

10. JOHN DOES WRONG
The rainforest is almost gone Because of someone named John He came into the forest Because he was the poorest He cut down a tree Or maybe two or three He knew it was wrong He heard a bird sing a song He realized it was bad And he was so sad.

The rainforest is a great tropical place where animals, plants, and people live so please help save it.
