1 What problems are there in America today?
Create a “T” chart On one side put “ties” On the other side put “divides” Create lists of things on each side that either divide the country or tie it together Share your list with a neighbor. Pick the 4 most important items (they do not have to be on a particular side of the list)

They were all as English as you are American They had family and political ties to England They had financial ties to England England was the most powerful country at the time. “The sun never sets on the British Empire” England defended the colonies against the French and Natives during the French and Indian War

15 Activity/HW You will be put into groups and reading different perspectives regarding the causes of the American revolutionary war. Step 1: Read your assigned perspective Step 2: decide what the most compelling argument is Step 3: DEBATE! In groups of four you will share why your argument is the main cause of the Revolution. Step 4: In one paragraph write why you believed the American Revolution began citing specific evidence.
