2. A diversity & inclusion policy
For autumn 2018 all British Tennis Registered Venues need to have the following:
A diversity & inclusion policy
A safeguarding & vulnerable adults policy
An appointed welfare officer that has undertaken the necessary training
A Criminal Records Check undertaken for relevant roles at the club

3. Register by 30th November 2018!
Registering your venue brings many benefits and support that are highlighted in the First Service Guide.
Not registering by the end of November will result in:
ClubSpark access being frozen
Club members missing out on the British Tennis Wimbledon Ballot for 2019
The venue’s public liability insurance lapsing as of 30th September.
Entry into County Leagues (if not registered by entry deadline)

ClubSpark: a benefit of registration, non-registered venues will have their accounts frozen. Upon re-registering a frozen account is reactivated (no data lost etc), but the venue or the general public will not be able to access a frozen account
Wimbledon Ballot: venues need to have registered by end of Nov in order for their members who are BTM Lite members to be included in the 2019 Wimbledon Ballot. There are no exceptions to this.
Insurance: If you complete Registration anytime after the 30th November 2018 deadline (i.e. any date between 1st December 2018 and September 2019), then the LTA’s public liability insurance cover will NOT be backdated to 1st October, but will instead only be valid from the date on which your venue completes LTA Registration.

4. Accredited Coaches
There will be a further addition to the Minimum Registration Standards in 2019.
In order to register for 2019/20, all active qualified coaches at a registered venue must be an LTA Accredited Coach
This is being introduced to ensure the safeguards around tennis coaching at all British Tennis Registered Venues, particularly to protect young people.
Further guidance, support and information to help venues will be communicated to venues shortly.
This addition to the Minimum Standards is currently being developed by the LTA, and further clarity around this will be released & made available to clubs asap.
We wanted to take this opportunity to communicate that this is coming and to give you maximum awareness of it.
We know you’ll have lots of questions on this, the details of this are being finalised now and will be communicated in more detailed FAQs and guidance shortly.
FAQ:  
Why would assistants need to have safe to practise checks i.e. become Accredited? They are normally supervised or working alongside others.
The role of an assistant coach at Level 1 and 2 will mean that they establish a relationship with children or vulnerable adults, irrespective of whether or not they lead a session or programme. Due to the nature of the contact and activity, it  therefore important that all coaches at every level undergo the safe to practise checks that are part of Coach Accreditation. Once a member, they will then receive key support and benefits including public liability insurance.
