EMEP Steering Body Report
Implications of the consolidated EMEP work plan for the TFEIP: conduct the reporting workshop introduce new reporting guidelines supervise the introduction of PM reporting complete the default inventory compilation guidelines (Guidebook) initiate ‘inventory’ evaluation programme (improve data quality and quantity)

Guidebook update 7 new/ updated chapters approved by SB and now incorporated into Guidebook on EEA web Secretariat has identified work needed for Guidebook to improve - continuity and accessibility - effectiveness 3 example improved chapters have been prepared for discussion in panel sessions

Reporting workshop Attended by a range of data requesters, data providers and data users Draft Reporting Guidelines prepared New Nomenclature for Reporting (NFR) proposed Reporting guidelines to be discussed and agreed at this meeting

Road traffic Copert III launched & web-site updated PM: EU-sponsored PARTICULATES project - further work to be done in this area Aircraft EMCAL group are recommending methodology to the European aviation authority (ECAC) EMCAL to provide a data set for turboprops Reporting issues NFR for transport has been proposed - to be discussed further at panel session Panel meets Thursday 09:15 Room C3

Reporting guidelines to be discussed & agreed in principle Guidebook chapters to be reviewed in light of: - new reporting requirements (NFR) - improved transparency - consistency of reporting - particularly PM, HM, POPs, NH3 - the need to incorporate uncertainty Share experience
