Get your Citizenship Folder signed each week
Complete work on time
Check the website
Be prepared with materials, sharpened pencils
Keep papers organized in your binder
Ask for make-up work when absent
Turn in make-up work when completed
Ask for help when needed

9. How to help your child: Check the student planner daily
Help your child be an advocate for their learning-encouraging them to ask their teacher questions
Read with your child and to your child
Help your child set up a scheduled time to work on homework, study for tests, or read for recreational reading
Look through your child’s binder to help keep them organized
Sign your child’s Citizenship Folder weekly- discuss any marks they received. Remember, look for patterns, not perfection!
Please remove items that can stay home (Newsletters)
Set up a place in the house to keep school related items
