1. Stain/dye
Applying a thin wash of colour to a surface before working on top of it
2. Mono print
Creating one print by inking up a surface and drawing over it on paper
3. Lino Print
A material used for relief printing that is easy to cut into and work with to produce multiple prints.

7. Composition
How you plan out your work, position on a page or canvas

Using ink pen and then smudging with water to create an effect

Shading in /using colour to show light and dark.

Using more than one material together: for example collage and printing over the top

14. Giger
Hans Ruedi Giger was a Swiss painter, best known for airbrush images of humans and machines linked together in a cold biomechanical relationship. Later he abandoned airbrush work for pastels, markers, and ink. He was part of the special effects team that won an Academy Award for design work on the film Alien.
15. Leonardo Da Vinci
Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452 in Vinci, Italy. His mastery in art, science and engineering have earned him a place among the most prolific geniuses of history. He was one of the most important artists of the Italian Renaissance, a period when the arts and sciences flourished.
16.Georgia OKeefe
Georgia Totto O'Keeffe (November 15, 1887 – March 6, 1986) was an American artist. She was best known for her paintings of enlarged flowers, New York skyscrapers, and New Mexico landscapes. O'Keeffe has been recognized as the "Mother of American modernism".
17. Natural forms
Natural Form The natural form of an object which has not been altered or manipulated, but is in its' original form found in nature.

Made by humans rather than occurring in nature; artificial or synthetic: a man-made lake; manmade fibers
Background
The requirement for GCSE art is that you have a minimum of two coursework projects with final pieces . Coursework is worth 60% of your final GCSE Art grade and for each project you must make sure you :

AO2: Experiment with different materials
AO3: Record from observation and show development of your own ideas
AO4: Produce a personal response to the theme. .
Final Outcome
A design based on man V machine/nature. Could be a poster, logo, print or drawing in different materials to show the contrast between the themes.
