7 Leonardo Da Vinci 15 April 1452 – 2 May 1519 His areas of strength included painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, invention, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing….. Renaissance - bridging the gap between the middle ages and modern history he did not see a divide between science and art. His painting was scientific, based on a deep understanding of the workings of the human body and the physics of light and shade. His science was expressed through art, and his drawings and diagrams show what he meant, and how he understood the world to work.

17 Amys Drawing task – viewfinder studies, inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci Observational drawing is an extremely important part of every project you will do. Collect objects and take GOOD QUALITY photos. When you are recording your observations look closely at form/colour/texture/shape/tone ….. Use a variety of drawing and mark making materials.

22 Digital task – inspired by Andy Warhol Use Adobe Photoshop as a tool to quickly manipulate and change photographs Think about colours/filters/patterns that link to you! Create a minimum of 2 different manipulated portraits. Make sure you take note of the tolls/filters etc. that you are using.
