7 Leonardo Da Vinci 15 April 1452 – 2 May 1519 His areas of strength included painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, invention, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing….. Renaissance - bridging the gap between the middle ages and modern history he did not see a divide between science and art. His painting was scientific, based on a deep understanding of the workings of the human body and the physics of light and shade. His science was expressed through art, and his drawings and diagrams show what he meant, and how he understood the world to work.

Collect objects and take GOOD QUALITY photos. When you are recording your observations look closely at form/colour/texture/shape/tone ….. Use a variety of drawing and mark making materials.
