Maya’s parents reaction to seeing her with Daniel was very angry and upset. Her father says, “Is this how you raise your daughter! Lessons to be a toy for American boys!” Her father was very angry that she was hanging out with a boy. After seeing how both of her parents reaction to Maya hanging out with Daniel it tells me she will probably not be able to go to the dance.
