More about me: I grew up in Africa, Nigeria until I was 10, and then Kenya. I came to Canada to go to University. I have a Bachelors Degree with Honours in Psychology, a Masters Degree in Psychology with specialty in Neuropsychology, and a Bachelor of Education.

When I finished university, I worked in the psychology department of a hospital, assessing patients with head injuries or stroke, and providing counselling services. I then worked in the psychology department of the former Ottawa Board of Education, also counselling and working with children and parents who needed help with their problems.

After 11 years working there, I decided to switch careers, and became a teacher. I have been a teacher for about 17 years now (yes, I am very old…). I love teaching, particularly when I see students getting excited about their learning. I am looking forward to this year!

I also have 3 grown up kids
my son Michael works in London, Ontario, so I don’t see him as often as I would like.
