Reading~ Animal Groups Focus Skill~ Compare & Contrast Read Aloud~ Christmas Books Language~ Adjectives Writing~ How to… Math~ Unit 3 Addition & Subtraction strategies (3 Addends & Word Problems) Mid-Unit Test (Friday) Social Studies~ Ben Franklin Word Study Words Students will be tested on Friday and will have to write each word correctly. These are some examples of word patterns that will be used. The words on this list will not necessarily be the ones tested, but they will follow this spelling pattern WEEK 17 Blends (dr-, gr-, pr-, tr-) drag drop drink drum press print prom prod trap trunk trick trust grip trash grab grim grid grit *Visit for more phonics practice! Sight Words Students will be tested Friday. Students will have to say each word instantly, without sounding them out. They will not have to write them 1. don’t 2. few 3. while 4. along 5. might 6. close 7. something 8. see 9. next 10. hard Homework Daily: Read, or have someone read to you for 10 – 15 minutes. (AR) Monday: Math Sheet and Word Work sheet Tuesday: Math Sheet and Word Work sheet Wednesday: Family Night (No Homework) Thursday: : Math Sheet and Study Word Work list & sight words for test tomorrow. Specials SD5 – Tuesday (See Calendar) SD1 – Wednesday (See Calendar) SD2 – Thursday (See Calendar) SD3 Friday (See Calendar) SD4– Monday (See Calendar) Dec. 17th *Please wear gym shoes on the day your child has PE. Our specials time is 12:10-12:55 Christmas Party Our Christmas Party is just around the corner. This year we are going to have light refreshments and a 4 station rotation. One of the stations will be opening a gift that you will send in for YOUR child. Please keep the price at $5.00. We are asking for parents to sign-up to send in needed donations for the children to have the most fun that we can provide. The party will be Wednesday, December 19th at 1:00. Lunch Menu Tues.~ Country Fried Steak Wed.~ Hotdog & Chips Thurs.~ French Bread Pizza Fri.~ Meatball Sub Mon.~ Corn Dogs Bites & FF (Dec. 17th) We eat at 10:57.
