1 Week of November 12, 2012 Word Work Words Students will be tested on Friday and will have to write each word correctly. These are some examples of word patterns that will be used. The words on this list will not necessarily be the ones tested, but they will follow this spelling pattern. Students will have to say each word instantly, without sounding them out. Patriotic Popcorn Wednesday: Elect to Show Your Book Knowledge Book Trivia! A boy and girl from each grade level will be drawn for correct answers; Students will sign Grade Level “Elect To Read” Posters. Thursday: Guest Reader Day! Guest Readers will “Elect to Read to You!” “I ELECT TO READ ALL THE TIME!” After Hours Checkout and AR Testing in Media Center. The Media Center will be open before PTO from 4:00 until 6:45 for Parent and Student Checkout and AR Testing. The computer lab will also be open for testing. Friday: Don’t Be A Sucker…Vote for Reading!! (Students receive Suckers) Ice Cream on Tuesday $.75 Please send money only on Tuesdays & write it on the envelope in the money pouch
