A Note from the teacher….
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, Marlow’s Relay for Life team will be selling pink, clip in hair pieces to benefit the American Cancer Society. These may be worn in school for the entire month of October. Sales will continue to the end of the month. A note went home last week. Cost: $5
Y-Ties are also being sold by the PE Dept.
Sight Words
Students will be tested on Friday. Students will have to say each word instantly, without sounding them out. They will not have to write them.
Review all words learned the past 8 weeks!
Word Work Words
Students will be tested on Friday and will have to write each word correctly. These are some examples of word patterns that will be used. The words on this list will not necessarily be the ones tested, but they will follow this spelling pattern.

Daily: Read, or have someone read to you for 10 – 15 minutes.
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: Math Sheet Word Work sheet. See inside of the Frog book.. Please work on only 10 words per night off the list. Complete Math Sheets every night.
Wednesday~ NO HOMEWORK- FAMILY NIGHT
Thursday: Study Word Works (spelling) & sight words for test tomorrow.

Math- Counting & identify numbers 1 – 120, (continue throughout the year), complete tens & ones; begin addition
Reading/Grammar- short e vowel sound; Review all sight words; Comparing stories, Poetry, Nouns/verbs, pronouns.
Science~ Complete Weather Unit & Start Sound Unit
