Please take out a writing utensil and a piece of paper. Write down numbers 1-5. Let’s practice applying our knowledge of poetic, literary devices, and figurative language. Name the device or form of language used in each example.

21 Dramatic Reading “The Highwayman”
In groups of 5, you will perform a dramatic reading of several stanzas of the poem. In your group, decide who will play the roles of Bess / Highwayman / Tim the ostler / soldier 1 / soldier 2 Dress up, bring props, include sound effects! Make the poem come to life! You will present your interpretations tomorrow!
