3 Drawing the Coordinate Plan and Points on the Plane
Today I will be able to calculate the length of line segments to determine distance on the coordinate plane. I will also be able to solve real-world problems by graphing in all four quadrants. I will show I understand the lesson when I can independently complete at least 4 of the exploratory exercises with at least a 80% accuracy. 6.NS.C.8

4 Language Objective By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use all four language domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing to communicate the academic math language of line segments to determine the points on a coordinate plane. Students will be able to communicate the math language of line segments to solve real-world problems by graphing in all four quadrants.
