Rule of Thirds: a photographer should learn

The idea behind the rule of thirds is that if you place your focal point along one of the four intersections, it actually creates a more naturally balanced image. Studies show that people’s eyes usually goes to one of the four Intersections created by the lines.

Ask yourself: What is the focal point? Where am I intentionally placing it?

Something to keep in mind:
Landscape photography: use either the top horizontal line or the bottom horizontal line to line up the HORIZON line of your scene Ask yourself: What are the points of interest in this shot? Where am I intentionally placing them?
