7 COURSE UNIT SELECTION Course Unit Selection opens in July, date to be confirmed. Students are asked to complete their selections by 6th August. Course Unit Selection is done on the Student System (not Blackboard). Early selection is recommended because, once the room limit is reached, the courses will close. You then have to join the Waiting List. Popular courses fill up very fast!

8 CHANGES TO COURSE UNIT SELECTION
Make your selection as early as possible, making sure that you have no more than 70 credits in one semester, and no less than 50 credits. Subject to the availability of places, changes can be made up to the end of the second week of teaching in each semester. Changes cannot be made after you have submitted any assessed work for a course.

9 STUDYING ABROAD IN SEMESTER TWO
Students who are studying abroad in Semester 2 take the following courses: SOAN20821: POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC ANTHROPOLOGY SOAN20811: ANTHROPOLOGY OF RELIGION And 20 credits from the final year First Semester options. Note: SOAN20830 ANTHROPOLOGICAL THEORY will be taken in Year 3.

10 REMEMBER… CHOOSE YOUR COURSES EARLY…
YOU CAN CHANGE COURSES, AS LONG AS THEY HAVE SPACES, UP UNTIL THE END OF THE SECOND WEEK OF LECTURES IN BOTH SEMESTERS. BEING ON A WAITING LIST DOES NOT GUARANTEE A PLACE ON A COURSE – HAVE A PLAN B.
