Course Verification Sheets Sent Home – May 2013 Second Copy of Verification Sheet Sent Home – June 2013 Final Schedules Mailed Home - Early August 2013 Course Cards Student Signature Parent Signature Teacher initials for Foreign Language. Do not forget to list alternatives for elective courses. Must schedule 6.0 credits minimum and a maximum of 7.0 credits.

11 Course Level Recommendations Your teachers will recommend levels on your second marking period report card If you want a different level, you must speak to your teacher and have him/her email your counselor with an approved change If you want to override your teacher’s level recommendation, make an appointment with your counselor to discuss this. DO NOT simply write the preferred course on your selection card Counselors will always default to the recommended level unless s/he receives a teacher email!

16 Selecting Elective Courses Review the listing of available elective course offerings found in the High School Program of Studies. Make certain that you have met the prerequisite Select first choice electives Select at least 3 alternative choice electives Elective courses should be chosen with your graduation requirements in mind and based on your interest and future goals. Elective courses that students select will be entered into the computer and will appear on your Course Selection Verification Sheet. Remember, these are only requests and not a guarantee that you will be placed in this class. Be sure to include “Alternate Selections” on your course selection card.
