17 Admission and selection procedure IBA has a Numerus Clausus (= Numerus Fixus) of 150 students a year 50% decentralized selection 150 allowed to start 50% draw (loting) => NB different application deadlines

18 Decentralized selection Selection criteria focused on international education and/ or international experience Criteria: Proficiency in English: English language test is obligatory (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge) International experience Motivation References

21 Binding recommendation on continuation of studies (Bindend Studie Advies) Why?: To make sure that you have chosen the right study programme Expectation: a positive effect on your ability to successfully complete the programme within a reasonable time frame.

22 Binding recommendation on continuation of studies ->IBA BSA part 1: Norm -> 42 EC (out of 60 EC) incl. ‘Business Mathematics’ BSA part 2: Pass all first-year subjects within two years. 4x advice on study progress during first year Intensive coaching and supervision Negative recommendation end of first (or second) year = end your studies in that particular programme at VU University Amsterdam. NB.: (special) personal circumstances
