2. In Flanders Fields In Flanders Fields the poppies blow  between the crosses, row on row that mark our place;  and in the sky the larks, still bravely singing, fly scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, And now we lie in Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe; To you from failing hands we throw the torch; Be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die we shall not sleep, Though poppies grow in Flanders fields.

5. Task 2. Keeping in Mind what you have read about and heard
I want you to come up with a fictional character and write as though you were sending news from the war back home.
It could be someone on the war fields, a medic nurse, someone I the land army at home…
You need the letter to be a real as possible describing things like living conditions, feelings they may have, things they may miss from home or something they have seen in their time at war. (don’t get too gruesome pretend as your grandmother may read it)
