2 Initial Wash Procedure
It is recommended that a new set of uniforms be laundered PRIOR to wearing them for the first time. To perform the initial wash cycle, wash the uniform in lukewarm (100 degree F) water. Use a mild detergent. This will help set the colors and dyes in the uniform.

3 Important Uniform Information
Uniforms should be laundered immediately after they have been worn. DO NOT DRY CLEAN GARMENTS! Dry cleaning may discolor garments and ruin imprint names and numbers. DO NOT IRON OR PRESS GARMENTS! Color transfer (bleeding) may occur when perspiration soaked garments are left in a pile or folded one on top of another for any period of time. Garments that cannot be laundered at once should be hung individually on rust-proof hangers (plastic or wood). All items not a part of the garment; i.e. belts, pads, etc., should be removed and laundered separately. As an extra precaution, wash one jersey/pant, inside out, if results are acceptable, proceed with the balance. NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DRY UNIFORMS WITH HIGH HEAT.

4 Normal Wash Procedure To perform the regular wash cycle, use a warm (around 100 degrees F) water cycle White and colored garments cannot be washed together, wash separately by color. Use mild detergents (pH under 10) such as Tide or Cheer. Adidas does not endorse these brands, but when used following these instructions, produce very good results. Make sure to not overload the washer. The garments need room to be able to get the “mechanical action” they need to get clean and stains out. Make sure the water level in the machine is higher than the garment level to ensure enough mechanical action is occurring. NEVER USE CHLORINE BLEACH! As it will fade colors, weaken fabrics, and cause color transfer/bleeding. A light application of granular oxygen-base bleach (OXICLEAN, not endorsed by adidas but has good results) is recommended on any white garment requiring bleach. DO NOT USE DE-STAINERS OR SOFTENERS as these added agents may damage the uniform. Once the uniforms have completed the first wash cycle, you should hear the machine dump the liquid out from the machine. Once this has been completed, you may add another small amount of OxiClean to the drum to help get out some of the residual stains. Remove garments immediately after wash cycle is finished to avoid color transfer. Finally, once the washing cycle has completed itself in full, remove each item individually and inspect for any stains. If you still have garments with stains, proceed to stained garments instructions.

5 Drying Procedure NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE DRY UNIFORMS WITH HIGH HEAT. DO NOT DRY CLEAN GARMENTS! Dry cleaning may discolor garments and ruin imprint names and numbers. DO NOT IRON OR PRESS GARMENTS! It is recommended to hang dry (air dry) uniforms whenever possible. Make sure to use rust proof hangers that won’t introduce foreign coloring into the garment (i.e. plastic or wood). If you do decide to dry uniforms with a machine, the machine should be a the lowest temperature possible or the “air-only” setting. Uncontrolled heat will result in uncontrolled shrinkage or damage to lettering of garments. Remove garments from dryer at completion of drying cycle.

6 Uniform Storage Procedures
Dry garments completely before storing. Storing garments in a cool, dry area protected from sunlight and fluorescent light will prevent mildew or yellowing. It is recommended to hang uniforms on a rust proof hanger whenever possible for storage.

7 Optional Presoaking/ Pretreating
Spot stain treatment with a pretreatment agent such as Shout, can be done before the wash cycle. Garments made of Antron Nylon or Spandex that are unusually soiled or stained can be pre-soaked with a pre-soak agent such as Oxiclean in lukewarm (100 F) water for no longer than one hour. Cold or hot water can cause color transfer. Garments should be laundered immediately after pre-soaking. Pre-soak agents such as Tide, Cheer, Wisk, Oxiclean are not endorsed by adidas, but appear to work best.

8 Post Wash Spot Stain Treatment
Once you remove your garments from the washing cycle, inspect for any stains left. If you have a stain that is really bad and is concentrated in one spot or multiple smaller spots you will want to follow these instructions. Lay the garment on a table on top of a clean white towel, while the garment is still damp. Stretch the area of the stain to where you can see the fibers of the jersey (this is done to get in between the fibers of the garment to get set in stains to break apart). Spray shout onto the stretched area and lightly scrub in the Shout with a microfiber cloth or VERY soft bristled brush (to make sure you don’t damage the integrity of the fibers). Launder the garments again with the regular washing procedures to see if the stain came out.

9 Post Wash All Over Stain Treatment
Once you remove your garments from the washing cycle, inspect for any stains left. If post wash spot stain treatment didn’t work, try the following steps: Do not overload, but put garments that are still stained or all over stained into a plastic tub with lukewarm water (100 degrees F) and Oxiclean that has been mixed in. Leave the garments in this mixture for no more than an hour. Rewash the garments on a normal wash cycle to try to get the stains out.
