All things (good and bad) are used by God to make us more Christ-like
Romans 8:28-29: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

God Cares about your Money!
Your Part is to Be a steward 1 Cor. 4:2 - Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. Luke 17:12-14 12 - And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 13 – And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 14 - And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

God expresses love by giving John 3:16
1) Give some! We are called to reflect God’s character. Romans 8:29 God expresses love by giving John 3:16 Romans 8:29 – For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among the bretheren; John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. 1 John 3:17 (World’s Goods), - But whoever has the world's goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? James 2:15-17 (brother without) - 15-If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, 16-and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

a. Financial bondage is the state of being captivated or overwhelmed by money matters…mental/spiritual “rich” can be in bondage “The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” (Proverbs 22:7). Gen 29:34 – And she conceived again and bore a son and said, “Now this time my husband will become attached to me, because I have born him three sons”. Therefore he was named Levi. Isaiah 56:3 – Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, “The Lord will surely separate me from His people.” Neither let the eunuch say, “Behold, I am a dry tree.” 1-Jan-19

The Biblical Time Limit On Debt “At the end of every seven years thou shalt make a release. And this is the manner of the release: Every creditor that lendeth ought unto his neighbour shall release it; he shall not exact it of his neighbour, or of his brother; because it is called the LORD's release.” (Deut. 15:1-2) Deuteronomy 15:1-2 - “At the end of every seven years you shall grant a remission of debts. And this is the manner of remission: every creditor shall release what he has loaned to his neighbor; he shall not exact it of his neighbor and his brother, because the Lord’s remission has been proclaimed.” Seven years! 1-Jan-19

Run toward your creditors, not away from them.
24
If you have a harassing creditor, husbands need to protect their wives.
1 Peter 3:7 - Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.
25
When Peter says the wife is a “weaker partner”, he is saying that she is more emotionally sensitive.

Identify the mistakes and employ the remedies.
Mistake: Asset Mismanagement: Lack of maintenance (inattention) Frequent turnover Leasing vehicles 30
31
Remedy: Follow manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule
Preventive maintenance more cost effective. Compare cost of purchased warranties vs. repairs. Retain vehicles well beyond loan expiration Continue making payments to your account for next purchase. Compare repair cost vs. buying replacement. Purchase pre-owned vehicles Purchasing pre-owned is almost always preferable to buying new or leasing. 31

Lifestyle Advertising: The happy sexy wrinkle-free life can be ours! … if we pay for it! ... Or Charge it! They create discomfort and turn wants into needs!
46
Lifestyle 5 of 6 “contentments” in the Bible are about $
Philippians 4:11 - Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. 12 - I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
47
Goal is to reduce spending, to create more surplus
Lifestyle Spending Category Questions Can we change our lifestyle to reduce spending? Do we need this item? If we need it, can we get it less expensively? Goal is to reduce spending, to create more surplus

Comparison Money is a tool to help you accomplish god’s will,
Pretense is expensive: “People buy things they do not need with money they do not have to impress people they do not even like.” – George Fooshee Luke 12:15 - And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. Money is a tool to help you accomplish god’s will, not fake it until you make it!
