2 ESPON 2013 – Overview (1/3) Mission of the 2013 Programme:
ESPON: European Observation Network on Territorial Development and Cohesion ESPON 2013 shall support policy makers (all over Europe and at all levels) to design their policies by: providing evidence and comparable information on the regions, revealing territorial capital and potentials for their development, providing long term evolutions and perspectives.

Applied Research on territorial development, competitiveness and cohesion: Evidence on European territorial trends, perspectives and policy impacts; P2. Targeted Analysis based on user demand: European perspective to development of different types of territories; P3. Scientific Platform and Tools: Territorial indicators and data, analytical tools and scientific support; P4. Capitalisation, ownership and participation: Capacity building, dialogue and networking. P5. Technical Assistance, Analytical Support & Communication
