7 LEFT SIDE vs. RIGHT SIDE The right side is the input side and contains information given by the teacher. Much of your traditional note taking will go on this side. In a lab, your hypothesis & data collection would go on the right side. The left side “LOVES”student work. This is the side that you can use to show me your creativity. This is the “output” or production side. In a lab, your data display, graphing and analysis of data, and conclusion would go on this side.

8 RIGHT SIDE Odd Pages = 1,3,5,7, etc.
The RIGHT side of the notebook contains information given to you by your teacher. This is the ESSENTIAL information that will definitely be on a quiz or test. During labs your experimental question, hypothesis, and data collection tables appear on this side – INPUTS! Odd Pages = 1,3,5,7, etc.

9 LEFT SIDE EVEN PAGES = 2,4,6,8, etc. The left side belongs to you.
Drawings, diagrams, foldables, observations, cartoons, any RELATED CLASSWORK Questions Mindmaps Graphical display of data, and analysis, and conclusions… EVEN PAGES = 2,4,6,8, etc.
