What is Science? A process that uses observation and investigations to gain knowledge about events in nature. Scientific Method: An organized set of investigation procedures used by Scientists.

Hypothesis: A testable prediction Experiment: An organized procedure for testing a hypothesis. Independent variable: The factor that is tested & changed. (x-axis)

Dependent variable: The factor that is observed, or changed by the independent variable. (y-axis) Control variable: The factor that stays the same for a fair test.
