A process that uses observation and investigation to gain knowledge about events in nature

The attentive watching and recording of somebody or something that is happening. Inference A conclusion drawn from evidence or reasoning.

A set of conditions that characterize an event

1. Obtained using the senses 2. Descriptive of exact qualities 3. Numerical values if possible 4. Systematically recorded
