The Turn of the century! brought about a brand new century with hopes for the United States to build and expand its growing power to the next level. During the Industrial Revolution, America grew more powerful due to innovation, invention and the rise of Big Business.
United States certainly found herself in the spotlight early and often at the turn of the century for reasons that would impact United States and World History forever.
America was not always the world power it is today. But the events that occurred at the end of the 1800s and early 1900s totally shifted the balance of power on the world stage in favor of the United States. America was quickly carving out its own empire, similar to that of Great Britain and other powerful European countries With the addition of new protectorates, states, and territories, the nation’s economy and foreign policy rapidly became stronger and more influential.
