3 SPANISH-AMERICAN WAR TIMELINE July 1, 1898 - Kettle Hill Battle cleared the way for the infantry attack on San Juan Hill July 25, 1898 - U.S. invaded Puerto Rico Rough Riders & two African-American regiments at Kettle Hill
