2. Cellular Respiration (Aerobic)
The process by which the mitochondria breaks down food molecules to produce ATP (energy) in plants and animals

Glucose (C6H12O6) + Oxygen (6 O2)  Water (6 H2O) + ATP (energy) + Carbon Dioxide (6 CO2)

The process by which cells release energy without oxygen
