4. Robert Wyland was Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1956.
He enjoyed art at an early age.
He loved to draw dinosaurs at the age of 3.

When he was a child he saw a T.V. program where Jacques Cousteau: (the Deep Sea Explorer)encountered whales.
Wyland decided that he wanted to be a scientist and study marine life just like Captain Cousteau.
Captain Cousteau is still the main influence in Wyland’s belief in caring for the environment.

The last Whaling wall was created in
Beijing, China to celebrate the Green Olympics.
It consists of 54 panels and is one of the world's longest murals at 2,430 Feet Long x 10 Feet High.
Thousands of children helped Wyland over a two week period, and the mural features habitats and wildlife of all 205 Olympic-member countries
