Analyzing Author’s Choice
Work with the students at your table to answer the following questions. Record the group’s answers to the questions on one sheet of paper. Why does Harper Lee include the information about school in chapters 2-4? What do we learn about Scout as a result? Use STEAL to characterize Scout based on these chapters. How does Harper Lee feel about education? How do you know? Collaborate to answer this question in SAF format. Everyone at your table should be prepared to share when called upon!
