This tutorial is designed to easily guide you through the Hewlett-Packard Online Finance Training Center developed with SmartPros, Ltd. in order to help reach your Finance & Accounting Learning and Development goals. It is an exciting tool and important you take full advantage by participating in the 100’s of course opportunities available.

4. What is the HP Finance Training Center & Why is it Important to Me?
The HP Finance Training Center is an online tool, loaded with hundreds of accounting and finance training/CPE courses. HP has licensed all the content and set up several unique catalogs and Learning Tracks for all HP Accounting and Finance team members
Available 24/7, the online training/CPE finance libraries features over 400 courses available with the latest news in the finance world as well as a wide variety of skills based instruction. Each course issues a NASBA/ QAS and Chartered Accountant CPE certificate of completion upon meeting the course competency testing requirements.
The HP Finance Training Center (powered by SmartPros) strives to enhance your knowledge and skill set directed at core competencies for job performance and career advancement.

5. What specifically can I find/do at the HP Finance Training Center?
Access hundreds of online Accounting and Finance training courses
All courses qualify for CPE credit (if needed)
Courses meet NASBA and international recognized standards for Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and Chartered Accountant requirements.
Take as many courses as you like!
New courses are added monthly
Multiple catalogs depending on your area of expertise. Some calalogs are video- based and others are text-based
Specialty catalogs to support both your general knowledge and your specific areas of expertise.
Pre-defined HP training tracks depending on your skill level
One click registration and launch of courseware
Track your completed and courses in progress.
Print course certificates of completion with CPE credit obtained for records.
Track outside courses in the External Course Journal
States ethics courses available (where applicable).

Hint: Save in ‘Favorites’

7. New User - Create Account
Click on REGISTER NOW
Complete form
(Note: You MUST use your hp.com address as your USER name) (Note: your password needs to be unique to you, not “welcome or password”)
Click on CONTINUE

8. Log on to Existing Account
Enter your username, password, and click LOGON (Note: Your user name should be your hp.com address. Use FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD link if you are having problems remembering your password)

9. To View the Course Catalogs
1. To access courseware, click on the: HP FINANCE SKILLS LIBRARY tab, or HP NEWS NETWORK tab 2. Click on the library subject areas to find courseware

10. To Use the Search Feature
1. Type a keyword into the search box and click the red arrow The search engine will find courseware that matches your keyword ACROSS ALL CATALOGS and return it. You can enroll in the course right from this page

11. To View HP Learning Tracks
1. Click on the HP LEARNING TRACKS tab 2. Select the HP FINANCE NEW TRACK or HP EXPERIENCED TRACK catalogs Note: NEW TRACK is for employees with less than 2 years of experience. EXPERIENCED TRACK is for employees with 2+ years of experience. See “I” for details

12. View Course Description
Click on the “i” icon to view the course details. The course description provides additional details about the course.

13. To Enroll or Launch a Course
1. You can click on the LAUNCH or ENROLL button to register for and start course You can also launch a course you’ve enrolled in clicking on the COURSE TITLE on the MY COURSES TAB

17. Final Exam Complete the course by taking the final exam.
Earn 70% or higher to pass the course.
Pass the course and earn 2 CPE credits.
(Note: If failed twice the course will be blocked for 30 days. You will be able to access other courses)

18. Certificate of Completion
Completed courses move to the “Completed Course” section of the “My Course” page.
Click on “View Certificate” to print your certificate of completion.

Select: File  Print from the Menu bar in your browser
Submit a copy of your certificate to HR!
