3 Despatch Pallet Builder & Load Builder
Proposes the build of individual pallets for destinations against a sales order Proposes the build of loads of pallets for destinations independent of sales orders This is a planning function

4 Despatch Pallet Builder & Load Builder
Sales order Picking list Picking list registration Delivery note Invoice Picking list registration Picking list Sales order Delivery note Invoice Load builder Pallet builder By load Transport order Purchase order

5 Picking list registration
Despatch Pallet Builder & Load Builder Versus AX2012 Consolidated Picking Ability to plan Pallet build and Load build Algorithms to automate Pallet and Load build Picking list registration Picking list Sales order Delivery note Invoice Load builder Pallet builder By load Transport order Purchase order

6 Despatch Pallet Builder & Load Builder
Differentiates between In and On Supports stacking product On containers Default and alternate allowable pallet types per product Pallet height and pallet spaces determined by Customer shipment type Easily understood parameter driven algorithm for Pallet build and Load build Pallets and loads handled in terms of from and to Haulage areas Link to Transport orders with reference to Rate tables for Haulage areas Transport orders create Purchase lines for simple standard Invoice matching

8 Pallet/Tray/Box Control
Maintains levels of valuable/returnable packaging owed by customers to be returned to the business, and owed to suppliers to be returned by the business. Processing is largely automatic as a consequence of despatching sales orders and receipting purchase orders. Two styles of packaging have to be supported: Integral packaging Transport packaging

9 Pallet/Tray/Box Control Integral Packaging
Integral packaging is part of the product specification e.g. apples on trays. Item number Product name Image APP01 Apples TRAY01 Green Tray APPTRAY39 Tray of 39 Apples

10 Pallet/Tray/Box Control Integral Packaging
Loose apples Trays BOM/ Works order Apples on trays Apples on trays Bags Formula/ Batch order Apples in bags Trays

11 Pallet/Tray/Box Control Transport Packaging
Transport packaging is not part of the product specification, and the product is unchanged by its association with any Transport packaging. Transport packaging is therefore moved (and stocked) independently of the product.

13 Quality data capture on Mobile devices
AX2012 delivers Quality Control functionality with user-defined tests Test results can only be recorded through an option in the standard AX client The client application is far too clunky to use for anything other than the simplest of results input; and creating a new Quality order is far too complex K3 typically proposes the AX Anywhere solution to enable AX2012 on mobile devices AX Anywhere includes all of the regular warehousing functions as standard... but does not include Quality Control functionality. K3 has developed a Quantity Control module within the AX Anywhere framework.

15 Production Manpower Planning
Calculates and presents the number of workers required over time to fulfil a production schedule Flexes the time on individual operations based on the number of workers actually planned 6 3 1:00 2:00 3:00 4:00 5:00 6:00 7:00 8:00 9:00 10:00 11:00 12:00

17 K3 Graphical Planning Board
Benefits of a visual scheduling tool taken-as-read... Best of breed APS tools (e.g. Preactor): Not tightly bound to AX2012 configuration Require independent setup Require training ...but offer rich functionality AX2012 Gantt Chart No-cost option No setup required ...but busy / confusing presentation No drag-and-drop automatic rescheduling Certain functional issues... Best of Breed APS Functionality K3 Graphical Planning Board Minimum Level AX2012 Gantt Chart

20 Real-time Production Data Input

21 Real-time Production Data Input
The K3 solution envisages: users unfamiliar with the Microsoft Windows/Office UI so no ‘action pane’, toolbars, tabs or pop-up forms users unfamiliar with Dynamics AX2012 terminology so no references to registration, jobs, journals etc… no keyboard present – touch-screen only all controls suitable for simple touch-screen use, with alternatives to standard windows controls
