3. “Rules of the Game”: Day 2
Today, you are going to take on the role of a novelist, as you continue the story that we read last week. In this creative writing assignment, I want you to mimic the style and voice of author Amy Tan as you add an ending to the story involving Waverly’s battle with her mother.
• A resolution to the conflict
• At least five lines of dialogue between the characters
• At least one element of personification
• At least one simile
• At least two specific passages that include sensory details
• A minimum of 250 words

4. “The Most Dangerous Game”
Today, we’re going to listen to the first 30 minutes of the audio book of Richard Connell’s “The Most Dangerous Game.” The less you know about the story going in, the better!
As we read, keep an eye out for the quotes on your quote hunt handout! And yes, they are in order. 
