3 “Lamb to the Slaughter”
Grab a Chromebook, sign in, go to my website, and open the document underneath today’s date: “LambToTheSlaughter-Text”. We’re going to read “Lamb to the Slaughter,” a short story by Rohald Dahl (the author of Matilda and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!). All you need to know is that it’s about a husband and wife, and it’s set in the 50s, where housewives were expected to behave in a certain way. Honestly…the less you know going in, the better.  Let’s read!

4 “Lamb to the Slaughter”
For the rest of class, respond to the reading questions on your half-sheet handout. Once you’re finished, look back through your work. Circle your best three answers – the questions you took your time with, responded in length, and provided textual evidence for. I’ll give you more points if I’m impressed with your answers  Once you’re finished, feel free to continue working on your IXL: D.9 and D.10.
