2 Common law is a model of Anglo Saxon legal order that dates back to the Norman Conquest (1066).
It was an unwritten law and it was based on the opinion of some judges who considered previous legal cases.

3 THE FEATURES Practical Technical Every case had a particular judgment
It was not influenced by Roman law

4 THE ORGANIZATION Henry II (1154-1189) divided England into parts
First: Itinerant judges were sent in every part to listen to the witnesses and to deal out justice. 1178: He established Curia Regis (group of judges and counsels who stayed in Westminster) Common Council justice and finance Magnum Concilium main political problems courts of Common Law Parliament
