13. Working with a designer
Send everything to Vicki (easiest step)
She will send back the first draft of your designed book
Read it carefully to check that everything is in the right place.
Tell her about any changes to make. When she sends it back with changes, make sure they are correct.
*This is not the time to change content. Typos only!

14. What to check for:
All the titles at the tops of pages, and in table of contents, are correct.
Read it again for typos or anything missing. (you can never read it too much, although it feels that way…)
Pictures or illustrations are in the right place.
All the front and back matter is included.
All contact information for you is correct.

15. Not working with a designer?
You can format the book yourself using a template from 48Hour books (only recommended if you are good at this, and can spend the time)
Follow all the steps in “what to check for” – except: you will need to pay extra attention to spacing, fonts, etc…

16. Publishing –if you’re the publisher
1. Get ISBN (if you want to)
2. Vicki will format your book for print, and the digital version for Amazon
3. Print copies: 48Hour books or Create Space
4. Or format the book yourself for each option
